These labels tell you how much fuel a car uses and how much it costs to run. These labels apply to any vehicle sold by a motor vehicle trader or any person selling a vehicle on internet trading websites such as TradeMe, provided the information is available.
The label includes:
- A star rating to show the fuel efficiency of the vehicle, from half a star for a poor performer to 6 stars for the most efficient cars
- An indicative cost of running the car for a year, so you can easily make comparisons with other makes and models
- The car’s fuel economy, which tells you how much fuel it uses per 100 kilometres.
