FREE Insulation for some South Auckland Homeowners!
The new EECA "Warmer Kiwi Homes" programme, in conjunction with Foundation North, is FULLY FUNDING home insulation for eligible Auckland South homes* built before 2008.
The government had FREE insulation for homeowners for the three years to June 2016 but now it’s back for South Auckland and is available to more homes - not just CSC holders - and is for homes built as recently as 2008.
EECA’s Warmer Kiwi Homes insulation grants offer FREE ceiling and underfloor insulation plus ground vapour barriers for homeowners, who live in the home which was built before 2008, and are in South Auckland’s Mangere-Otahuhu; Otara-Papatoetoe; Manurewa; Papakura and Franklin Local Board Areas AND:
- have a valid Community Services Card or CSC endorsed SuperGold card;
- are referred by the Healthy Homes Initiative;
- live in a specific South Auckland neighbourhood^ (as above) the government has targeted for support. It’s address specific and we can tell you on the phone if your home is in the right area.
Call us today on 0800 888 766 to see if you or your home is eligible or Register your interest here.
What about Rental properties? There is no funding for rental properties in the new "Warmer Kiwi Homes" programme. Subsidies for landlords concluded in the Warm Up New Zealand programme which ended 30 June 2018. Read about other finance options for landlords.
*Conditions apply. South Auckland homes must be eligible under EECA’s Warmer Kiwi Homes Programme. ^Decile 9-10 on the NZ Deprivation Index.
